I have always wanted a Cobra. I have the chance to buy a white 97 cobra with 54k miles on it for $12k. The only mods are a short throw shifter, flowmaster 40 series exhaust, MP3/CD player, 17" Chrome wheels, Alarm, tinted windows.
Quick question for you guys. Is it worth that or should I try to talk him down? (Sales tax is gonna kill me on it) Plus I have to hope the bank my fiance works for can make an exception on it because they only loan on car 99 and newer. But since she works there and since it has such low miles I am hoping they will loan the money anyway, otherwise I will have to get a personal line of credit instead. Anyway, he says he is very firm, but has been trying to sell it for awhile, first for 13 then 12.5 now 12. But says this is the final price drop. But money talks I guess. Is it worth the 12 or closer to say 11 or so?

Always try to haggle anyone when buying a car, no matter how good of a deal. the worst result could be that they stick to their price. As for the price I dont know have you tried kbb? or edmunds? Without looking i would say its a bit high.

Check the nada price guide as well, in addition to checking the classifieds to see what other comparable cobras are selling/listing for...

A dealer near me had a '98 Cobra coupe for sale that I went and took a look at.

67k miles, black over black, great shape, and they were asking $12.9k for it. It sold in one week exactly. What the final terms were, I don't know, but it didn't stay there long.
