Hello; Just a nutty question has anyone run an old school 15 by 8.5 mag wheel on the front of a mustang.Did it work with mods? What sized tire?No tire chart quotations just an answer from someone who's done it.Maybe on an old race car builder.THX

I ran 15 x 8 Mopar police car wheels on my 67 FB, the back spacing is the key here. The Mopar wheels have a 4" backspace and are steel wheels

The wheels I have in mind would have 3 3/4 of backspace and I'm thinking 'bout running either 236 60 15 or maybe 215 65 15 tires.Yes, I too think it's close but if it works it would look the balls!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ran 235/60's on mine with no problems. That was also with new springs & suspension. Springs were for a 68 big block convertable (Mustang)

15x8 with 4in bs is cutting it close.

A 15x8.5 with 3.75 backspacing which is a wider wheel with less backspacing is not going to fit very well at all. It will stick out .6275 or so inches more that the 15x8 with 4 in BS

Yeah I think you guys are right, the 8.5" wide wheel will stick out to far.I found a couple of pics and the wheels just hang out too far. Thanks for the input.Keep rockin'
