Does any one remember the aftermarket 17 inch 91-93 style (five-star) pony wheels? They looked just like the ford 16 inch ones, but you could get them in four or five lug. they use to advertise in 5.0 mustang maganize, this was probably in 97-98. I don't think they make them anymore, i bet ford put a stop to them because they looked just like the 16 inch ponies. Does any one remember the name of the company that made them? OR where i might be able to get a set of these wheels.

Hell i remember them and they're pretty popular but i can't remember who makes them. Do a search and i'm sure they'll pop up.

Plus they put their own generic wheel covers on them.

I want a set of 17" PonyRs moreso than any other wheel.

It will be neat to hide Cobra brakes behind them too.

Here are the renderings. The wheel covers are trash.

Hey wheelreplicas.com, OEWheelsDirect.com, and the other guys...

Why don't YOU make a set, and turn a profit.

When I bought mine, I sent Demetrius my original center caps and he painted them with the wheels. That way they match perfectly, but any Pony cap will pop right on.

I heard that Ford was really cracking down on copycat parts like wheels....that might have a little to do with it.

That would be terrible considering they most likely have no plans on making a 5 lug version of them.
