170 Deg.....Too Cold or Okay

It's a little cool but should be fine. Come winter time, see how it does (or is it winter elsewhere? It's 90* here today). :D

My opinion here is a little different than others.

I feel anything under 190F from the ECT is too cold.

Below 180-160F engine wear increases rapidly.

Power can actually decrease with lower temps

Economy can decrease with lower temps

I have never seen dyno tests on coolant temps, but if anyone has them I would love to see some proof either way.

I realy don't care about the MPG. I rarely get to drive my car, However the wear does concern me. It is just a see what it would do effort until I get a new radiator. I just can't seen to make up my mind on which one to get. See other thread on Alum vs 3 core copper brass if you can provide info

2 or 3 core copper from your local parts store.

I'm running a 2 core in my 408w.

I just realized that your using Nitrous. That is a little different than n/a. You will want more cooling capacity.

Remember that you can loose power by running too cool.

i also think you could have problems with carbon buildup running lower temps especially in colder weather...
