Anyone got one they could post pictures of here? I recognize this will require bravery as you will undoubtedly catch crap about choosing these wheel/tire sizes. Be brave and post please.
I am not a fan of the "big" rims..
My car has 17's in the front and 18's in the rear.
I think this works well on this car.

i think 18" (maybe) and 20" (definately) will begin to hinder the handling of your car, and that'd not something you want to do with these heavy beasts. 17" wheels would work very well i think, so try to find some that you'll like.

You are probably right 17's are probably the best option in regards to optimum handling. Putting 18's on the back of my 65 FB was pushing the envelope for me as I really don't care for the big rims.

The shock tower/Monte Carlo bracing system is from TCP..
Total Control Products. The car also has Maer Racing
tubular subframe connectors welded in and Under rider traction Bars.
I am hoping that this will really firm up the structural integrity of the car.
65/66 fastbacks only weigh approx.2800 lbs. Mine should weigh less
with some of the reduced weight items installed on the car.

I think you knew when you posted this topic that all you'd catch from this post is s***. Don't get me wrong, I love this forum and all the knowledge I am constantly gaining from it. But, you better post this at cornercarvers.com or protouring.com; you'll get very few, if any, positive responses here. Although there is a wealth of knowledge on this forum, there is an adversion to the unknown or "freaky" ideas. You're asking about something that will not be well received on this forum. If 18" or 20" wheels are what you want, though, I wish you the best of luck.
