I found this 90 GT for sale in my town, only thing that has me worried is that it has 190k miles on it. The guy who owns it is an older gentleman who bought it new in 89. He said oil has been changed ever 3k, garage kept, never seen rain or snow, you can tell by the paint job, its all original and looks mint! Only mod is flowmasters with o/r h pipe. He wants 2500 for it. Is it worth it? What problems should I look for before purchasing?

yeah it worth...it gives a **** about miles...after its over 100k it dont matter...if its ben taken care of it will run like it should... hell my dads 86 has over 237k on org trans and engine(rear end was rebuilt in 05) was babied before he bought it...runs better then any fox ive seen with that many miles..(well 85 SS coupe runs really good and i think his has over 260k on it..

look for what you would look for on any fox...rust....

Mine has 145k and my dad DD'ed it until 2001. I started DDing again in 05/06 and it has no problems. Original engine tranny and everything. It had the stock clutch up until 120k miles. These things are beastly... hence my name

those are the best foxes to buy, the older people that bought it new, you CANT go wrong.

if it looks as good as u say it probably was just a cruiser car and not beat on.

i would jump on the deal!

milage means NOTHING especially when buying a mustang you never know how the car was driven before.

you could have this 190k mile fox run perfect, and then you could get a 50k mile car that runs poorly due to kids hot rodding it all the time.

I've got over 265k miles on mine, had just over 200k on it when I bought it for $2000 a couple of years ago. The thing has lived a HARD life. First owner had it set up strictly for drag; second owner was a stupid 16-year-old kid that just put gas in it and drove the snot out of it. I got it and wound up practically having to bring the thing back from the dead.

Mileage? Ha! I mock your silly mileage! :D

Miles...piff. I just blew the head gasket on my stock '85 engine....over 250K miles. The cylinders are pretty much as smooth as glass but guess what? Still has good compression

Still blows the tires off in 1st through 3rd, doesn't smoke, doesn't knock. It's aaaaall good :D
