Went to get a new clutch & pressure plate, prior to removal, and they listed a 10", a 10.5" & 11".
NAPA guy said it appeared the 10" was most common ( more sales) so, which one would be correct ?

The 260, 289 2V, and 289 4V had the 10", and the 289HP had 10.5" No factory 11" for the 289.

The 10.5 didn't come along till the 302HO in the late 70's early 80's. The 11" would have been with the 164 tooth truck bell or in a big car like a Galaxie.

OK, thanks

would the 10.5 be a up grade, or a better choice, since it was behind a little higher HP ? This isn't a perfect car, just a good driver, so I 'm for upgrades.

You should be able to use the 10.5, that was the 289HP / BOSS 302 clutch.
