I just got a 289 motor in a parts trade, but I don't have much use for it.. The casting #'s are C5AE- 6015-E. It is complete, but has been sitting for a while. Can any of you Mustang fellas tell me if would be of any value? I am going to try and sell it, but wanted to ask opinions first. Please let me know. agouge@chartertn.net

Thanks Much,

BlueBronk

I tell you what, I had an unbored 66 289 4bbl that still had life in it a couple of years back. Without shipping it, I did not have a lot of luck finding a buyer. I finally let it go for $200 as a longblock just to get it out of my way.

I bought a 67 four door Fairlane (body is no good) for $100 just for the 289 and the C4 transmission. It supposedly ran when parked but that's been many years ago. I thought I got a good deal on it though. As soon as I get all the parts off of the car that I want it will go to the crusher.

danny,
I just bought the same car 2 weeks ago. Are you willing to sell the front seat frames and tracks? I could use them in my Fairlane (it had shreeded Chyrsler Lebaron seats in it when I bought it). She needs floors though, so that a project I need to get on if I don't sell it first (TOO many projects going on at once)
