For Sale 1965 Mustang convertible, straight 6 (200ci) with a manual 3-speed. Exterior is tropical turquoise, with a black top and black pony interior. I purchased the car in 1983 and performed a full restoration over 10 years. The car was torn down and the body was acid dipped to remove rust and all deteriorated metal was replaced including floorboards, torque boxes, and quarter panels, minimal bondo was used for finish body prep. The restoration started in Ohio, but we moved to Georgia prior to completion, so the car has been in Georgia and garaged since 1991, no rust is present. The car's original color was champagne beige under multiple coats of other paint when I bought it, we decided that we preferred tropical turquoise. The interior was originally black standard interior, which I upgraded to pony interior in 2005. The interior and carpet are in pristine condition. A new top was also put on in 2005, but there are a couple small holes, the rear window is clear and un-creased. I swapped out the original standard 14" hubcaps for wire hubcaps, the tires were purchased in 2014.
The transmission was rebuilt in 2014 with OEM parts including new clutch, pressure plate, and bearings. This year I have added a new battery, solenoid, points, condenser, distributor cap, coil, new muffler and hangars.
I have records and receipts for the entire 32 years of ownership and many pictures from the restoration.
I am asking $25,000, shipping not included.
