Nice looking car. I do like the blue w/white strip combo.
However, Here are my overall thoughts:
1) Rims/wheels are too large. They unfortately fill up the wheel well too much. This is easily debated... its TOO much IMO.
2) Cowl hoods belong on Chevy products.
I really, really can't make any more comments on this... (or things get ugly quick)
3) I'm willing to bet you NEVER EVER see 160 MPH in your car, let alone 10,000 RPM. Overkill on the gauges IMO.

Hey Capps, looks good, mag car? you will need some work but its not hopeless.
The problem with the car is that on some aspects it looks modern, other aspects its very dated. You gotta go all the way with it or park it in your garage.
The place I would start is your engine bay, looks 80's ish. You got the rims now roll with it. When your done hire a photographer, get a portfolio going then start sending out your pictures. Hit all the mags no matter how small they are. keep the cowl its fine! G-L

I like it, looks sweet! And I think that it's a possibility to end up in a magazine, just keep in mind that magazines want "unique" things that people will want to read about so I'd make sure you give them reason to. Definitely a nice looking ride!

Thanks for all the comments and constructive criticism. I know the engine bay looks like crap, I haven't really paid much attention to it yet. What should I do with it in your opinion? I want the TCP shock tower brace (1,2, and 3), and some different valve covers and lid, battery in trunk, and aluminum radiator. What else?
Sweet car I like the way your car looks. Nice color and paint, cool wheels, and I like the hood too. I have that front valence myself, just haven't installed it yet. Mine came from Mustangs Unlimited. As mentioned above, I would try to put some emphasis on the engine compartment. A good detail and repaint with a nice dress up kit would look great. Keep up the good work !

Quick Question. I assume those are Bullitts with the standard 5.72~5" backspacing. I am in the middle of using the same wheels in chrome, determined I needed 1" spacers up front. I have and 8" drum rear in mine and wonder what size spacer you are using in the rear? 1" or 1.25" ? Also what size tires are you running?

I think the exterior of the car is up to par for magazine quality. I think the interior and engine bay need a little TLC.
Here's some suggestions.
Engine Bay:
Fresh Coat of Satin Black
Cad Plated Fender Bolts, Export Brace Bolts, etc
Clean up wire/cable routings
If you like the chrome valve covers and breather I'd do one of two things.
1. Keep the Edelbrock valve covers and get a plane chrome air cleaner
2. Keep the Edelbrock air cleaner and get plane chrome valve covers
To me, having both is a little over-kill.
Interior:
The seat covers look a little aged, maybe it's worn out seat foam.
The stainless trim on the seats looks scared up from use.
You can wet sand them and polish them out with metal polish and make them look new again.
The car is a heck of a nice driver as it is. These are just some thoughts I had if you are really shooting to land a magazine article. My car is in about the same shape, some things are show quality and others still need some work. But I've learned a it's a lot more fun to drive the car than clean on it all the time to keep it in trailer queen condition.

Looks like a nice driver but doesn't really stand out enough to get picked up for a mag imo. Generally magazine cars are found at shows and stuff because they stand out to one of the writers/photographers walking through the lot.
Still a nice car and something to be proud of.
