Hey, have any of you guys ever installed or used the Tach/Oil (whatever) dual gage pods that can be added to the '65 and '66 Mustangs? I'm just interested in your experiences.

Oh, and have you ever done one in blue? LOL!

Yep , did it on my 65 fast back some time ago .Was expensive though because i ordered the correct gauges also.
The pod was black but i re painted it to match the black in my interior. Stayed painted with no problems ,i used Sems paint .Did one on a 65 for a friend in saddle .

Did you seal the seams on the dash with anything or just leave it? Are there any installation instructions?

No didn't seal it ,don't remember having to trim anything .You do need a hole in the dash pad to run the wires through and it takes two screws on each side of the pod to mount it to the dash pad. You also will have to cut out the gauge holes if it is like the pod i used ,and that is good because you can take your time for a tight fit .I think i used a Branda pod.

I believe it came with instructions ,i can't remember ,but who uses instructions any way
As you tighten the pod mounting screws it kind of presses the pod into the pad slightly and seals it nicely .
