Rusty, you guys get props from me, you do incredible work..
As for some of the comments on saving the car or not based on production #'s/sentimental value, I don't think it matters! We are talking about a WOMAN willing to spend the money/wanting to save a classic mustang! I think she deserves a hug from all of us!! :grouphug:

Hey fellas great work saving these rustangs. I got a quick question regarding epoxy on the interior of the pillars. When you are welding the new outers do you remove the epoxy where the spot welds are, or melt through it?

Brian cleaned up his welds on the windshield post

Brian is rebuilding the inner sail panel structure.

He started by reattaching the old pieces

He cut out the rust areas than fabricated new pieces before he added the cover to the box

Since you are working in the area, do you do anything special to reinforce the quarter panel where it tends to tear just behind the quarter window?

The first thing you see when you walk in the shop are the rusted out rear frame rails so Brian decide today to start the repair

Great work guys!
The thing that comes to mind is the value of the coupe when it is all done. I am guessing there must have been a big sentimental value for doing it. In my opinion this level and quality of work would have been more appropriate for a Fastback or Vert.

Sub frame connectors help with this a lot.
