If budget isnt a concern...... mustang II all the way, well let me rephrase: if you wish it to be original then the global west or TCP type systems are your best option... just a few bolts and you can be back to stock.............but if you want all-out performace Mustang II all the way, this also has the advantage of letting you chop off the shock towers which is a necessity if anytime in the future you want to run a bigblock or even possibly a mod-motor

If you want a nice ride and lots of engine room the MII is a good route, if you want to really make the car handle then.. no freakin way , its a pinto suspension for gods sake.The ONLY reason its so popular is that its easily adpted to just about anything and it makes room for big motors. If you were to optimize the stock setup with a TCP or global west, or even a setup using modified stock parts like opentracker, it would run circles around a MII equipped car.

for a performance application the mustang II is not a good option, you will get a much better camber curve out of an SLA system like the stock setup. i agree about the ride quality though, if the car is just a weekend cruiser the mustang II is a good option. the TCP and global west systems are both really good. another option is the system that dolfan87 on this board is developing, his system looks really nice and will be much less than the TCP or GW kits. do a search on his user name or have a look at these threads. he hopes to be starting production within the month.

Very nice strut setup with options for huge brakes, koni coil overs, R&P, as well as special scalloped shock towers for extra engine room (enough for an australian boss 290 mod motor, similar to your 4.6 I believe).
