1966 smog pump problems

Hey, I have a 1966 Coupe, 289 with power steering and also a smog pump. There are several options for pulleys out there and belt routing set ups. I was wondering if anyone knew the right belt routing set up so that i don't destroy the front of the engine like the previous owner did.

What do you mean by destroy the front of the engine ? Are you trying to do a factory correct restore ? If not, just get rid of the smog junk.

well i got everything else fixed. the water pump pulley was the wrong one and it caused the fan to go through the radiator. Im not exactly sure what happend to it, it is a friends car and he was tryin to tell me what happened. I got everything else put back in, i just dont know how the belts line up. yea he wants to put it back exactly like it was.

Tell him he will get better gas milage and more power if you get rid of the useless smog equipment.
