1969 Fastback Full Quarter Panels

Have seen a few of the full 69 quarter panels available, they are about 400 USD, i been debating before whether to buy a parts car with good quarters, or should i do up some of the new panels, was wondering if anyone has seen them as well, or put some on a car?

It's hard to find fastback Mustang "parts cars" anymore with good quarter panels. These chassis have to be pretty wrecked to be considered parts cars, as fastbacks have become so valuable.

If I wasn't so far along with my restoration of my 69, I would not hesitate to buy the new 69 quarters. The skins were major work as the ones I got were too long and too tall. I ended up sectioning them both directions to get them to fit right. They look awesome now, but what a PITA. As for used pieces, I have done that before, and the new metal may be just as much work, but usually is a straighter, rust free part. Good luck

I put one of the new '70 Dynacorn quarters on my Mach1. They're very nice quality and fit beautifully. Definitely the way to go. The only difference between them and the originals is that they don't have the little studs for attaching the back window molding clips. I used a metal punch to cut the old studs out of the original panel, and to punch holes in the new panel. Then I welded the old studs onto the new panel. There are probably other ways of accomplishing the same thing, or you could just leave the studs out entirely and just glue the window molding on with windshield sealant.
