That liein Mother BEEP oh well lol i think it will look pimp when i fix her up

A few questions?

What kind of car is it?

Yep he's what you said but don't get discouraged. If it is a hardtop with the Mach1 grill, Side Stripe and Blacked-out hood you might have a "Sports Hardtop". They were a marketing push by Ford to increase sales in the spring of '71 and were only available in Apr. & May of '71 I think. The "Sports Hardtop" is an uncommon Mustang and may be worth a little more than a standard hardtop. If the car is in good shape and runs it is worth the $1100 anyway you look at it.

The guy I got my Mach1 from is a lieing POS preacher but I love the car and am glad to have it even tho it's not everything he said and I'm haveing to re-do most of what he claimed was "done" or "original". Unfortunatly that is a common problem with the classics weather they are Mustangs, Camaros or whatever...

Welcome to the world of BIG Mustangs. :p Build it and have fun with it.

I love my coupe mainly because it's different than all the sportsroofs (traditional mach 1's) and it has tons of trunk room.

Here's a couple picts of mine:

From when I picked it up at the salvage yard 2.75 years ago (tons of hidden damage)

Im Trying to figure out if its the Hard Top Sport .....

Im not sure how ill go about fixing it up

Im trying to get ahold of my friends dad he said hed rebuild the 302 in it for fairly cheap
Then when that is done i thought about haveing him do the body work on it then haveing it painted a cherry red with black racing stripes down the middle. Ill prolly just do all black interior ...Then maybe ill sell it ..

bub if you call 1-800-392-3673 you can cet the "build sheet" mailed to you from Ford. It will tell you alot about the car. Hope this helps. Good luck

My older brother has a 71 Boss 351C that he stores at my parents house. First thought it was a mach 1 but he check the engine block and vin it was a boss. This thang 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me'ing kicked ass, could hear it few blocks away. Very expensive to restore he said.

just my 2cent
