hi, I just bought a 71 mustang. I replaced the fuel filter and it ran fine for a while. The next day, it would turn off when I would stop. I was thinking it could be old gas from the dealer. I put in 20 bucks of premium gas and stp. What do you think it is

A useful cheap accessory is a see thru in line fuel filter you can install in the fuel line on top of the engine so you can always see fuel flowing through the line. Also see if the gas has crap in it. Otherwise maybe the carb needs adjusting. If it's an automatic there is an idle kick down lever that connects the carb and the trans. Or maybe clogged line, tank filter, old weak fuel pump. Should be pretty simple and cheap to figure out. On a 71. Hope that helps.
