Still battling the choke/fast idle issues with the Pace Car. Also seems hard to start at times too. Is anyone aware of an update to the ignition system. I was considering an MSD DIstributor or Petronix ignitor but wanted to see if anyone else has done something similar.

Go back over your settings, adjust choke cold (you know all this right)
Does it crank a long time before it starts?

It does crank a long time before starting. I keep thinking its flooding at the choke has the butterflies closed. Other than adjusting the bimetallic spring, do you also have to bend the rod to open the butterflies slightly?

You may have to bend a rod but IIRC the adjustment for the choke flap is the spring on the side.
I don't have hands on so.....

It's been a long time, but I think there are like three screws on the spring housing. Loosen them and twist the housing to adjust the choke.
