That hood.... That was the only year for that hood. I never did know the name of the Ford guy that made the decision for more aggressive styling that year, but he's my hero.
I read that article on the silver and grey car when it came out. Kind of a bare bones car. He modified the crap out of the fenders to get the wheels to fit, if I remember right. Neat car though.....and since I'm derailing the chit outta this thread anyway (it's ok though cuz Dave started it by posting all this Mustang pronz)

I don't like the hood (obviously) but I like color combo and wheels. The exhaust is cool but not near as cool as the OEM style pipes coming out the back.

Take note @madmike1157 . A two inch diameter hole in the floor board that I'm not sure is rot. Maybe a plug goes there. You'll see five undercarriage pictures, first, the rust/rot spot under the driver's seat:

So,..then the floors look amazingly clean after all. Good for you. I'm glad you don't have to fight that cancer.
But,.....Now that you actually have decent floors, do not cut the damn things up and install a through the floor SF connector.
The ones that are out there that tie the SF's conventionally w/ the pinch weld tied into that, make a ladder of that structure that is far superior w/o all of the butchery. You'll get a connector that is a foot wide (instead of 2-3") and will reinforce the pinchweld under the rocker so that you can roll a jack under there and just lift it anywhere w/ no regard for placement.
Let me think,........where can I find an example of what I'm talkin about...

The SVO hood on the turboed four cylinder was completely different, kind of similar to the '87 and on.
Not as "rare" as the t-too coupes. Now, if they made any t-top coupe svo's, then it would be a different story.See my edit above. I wonder how rare the 2.3Ts are?

Aha! They DID offer the 2.3T as an option in 82. I thought there were only V8s in the GTs.
