That's one of those mystery cars there noobz. It has the gt scoop, but it has turbo emblem stuck on the side of the scoop.Man... In a world where I had the time and a place to work on stuff.... I'd want the whole car.
That hood.... That was the only year for that hood. I never did know the name of the Ford guy that made the decision for more aggressive styling that year, but he's my hero.
I read that article on the silver and grey car when it came out. Kind of a bare bones car. He modified the crap out of the fenders to get the wheels to fit, if I remember right. Neat car though.....and since I'm derailing the chit outta this thread anyway (it's ok though cuz Dave started it by posting all this Mustang pronz)
Some you guys didn't exactly take to the GTO too much. hehehe

I would MadMax this chit outtah that car and probably also catch a lot of self-proclaimed Mustang guys calling me a liar when I say it's "Bone Stawk".
Here's a bit more about the car: http://silodrome.com/ford-mustang-gt-enduro/
I'm probably one of the ones that would sacrifice a vital organ. Here's the dumb part: I dislike McLaren Stangs.
Dave... I'm getting that itch man. It's your fault.
Where can I rent a garage?
Oh wait..... 83.... What to do with the ..... what to...

I don't like the hood (obviously) but I like color combo and wheels. The exhaust is cool but not near as cool as the OEM style pipes coming out the back.
Ok, went to pay for my blue car. Got more pictures. I'm including a few pictures of other interesting mustangs.
Take note @madmike1157 . A two inch diameter hole in the floor board that I'm not sure is rot. Maybe a plug goes there. You'll see five undercarriage pictures, first, the rust/rot spot under the driver's seat:![]()
Second, towards the rear, driver's side, maybe a little there:![]()
Third, towards the front, driver's side![]()
Fourth, passenger side rear:![]()
Fifth, passenger side front:![]()
Ok Mike! No cardboard and mud for me buddy boy. As the younger generation might say, "In your FACE chump!".
So, these other pictures are of my car and a couple interesting ones getting to my car:![]()

A bit of a mix, @Noobz347 , you should like the hood:![]()
That's the limit for photos. Got to like that floorboard on a t-top!
Yeah, I wasn't really thinking of doing through the floor sfc's.The "younger generation" says that? Damn Dave, I was hearing that when I was the younger generation.
I thought that you were younger than me,...but man,....Just how old are you Gandal... er... Dave?
So,..then the floors look amazingly clean after all. Good for you. I'm glad you don't have to fight that cancer.
But,.....Now that you actually have decent floors, do not cut the damn things up and install a through the floor SF connector.
The ones that are out there that tie the SF's conventionally w/ the pinch weld tied into that, make a ladder of that structure that is far superior w/o all of the butchery. You'll get a connector that is a foot wide (instead of 2-3") and will reinforce the pinchweld under the rocker so that you can roll a jack under there and just lift it anywhere w/ no regard for placement.
Let me think,........where can I find an example of what I'm talkin about...
Oh yeah!........

The 1983 Mustang GLX luxury package was mainly different from the base GL on the inside with dual bright remote control mirrors, wood grained trimmed 4-spoke steering wheel, metal rocker panel trim, driver's door map pockets (the passenger was not allowed to read maps), and lighting group. The GLX convertible included power brakes, tinted glass, black remote mirrors, black rocker panel trim, and automatic transmission. 1983 was the second and last year of the GLX. In 1984 both the base level GL and GLX was combined to form the base level LX.
I read through that one before, thanks though noobz.I thought I posted this already but it appears that I only THOUGHT I posted this already

Blame the Hood scoop.. Not me sir

I understand the mistake Chris, some knucklehead must have stuck it on the gt scoop at one point in its life. No turbo to be had there.Blame the Hood scoop.. Not me sir

The SVO hood on the turboed four cylinder was completely different, kind of similar to the '87 and on.
Not as "rare" as the t-too coupes. Now, if they made any t-top coupe svo's, then it would be a different story.See my edit above. I wonder how rare the 2.3Ts are?
There were actually quite a few. They are actually pretty undesirable.See my edit above. I wonder how rare the 2.3Ts are?

Yeah noobz, but it had the ugly hood. Now I'm confuzelated
What I miss?
Edit:
Aha! They DID offer the 2.3T as an option in 82. I thought there were only V8s in the GTs.
Something new everyday.![]()
Believe me, there are times I regret not finishing my degree and think it's really too bad I'm a painter too!Its really too bad you are a painter Dave. Your car has the perfect patina job to just fix up the drivetrain and under pinnings, and leave the outside alone.
