The only thing I don't like about the eco-boost idea is the sound that going to come from it.

If you're liking the lines of the 82, it should have the exhaust note to go with it... One created more by motor and less by exhaust chamber. H-pipe... Def H-pipe.

Quite possibly. I haven't decided yet. I like having them in the garage and getting the GT for $700 was a deal I couldn't pass up.i might toss a 302 into it and flip it for a little additional cash flow.

Why is it that it's always somebody other than the guy I'm referring to that gets offended by something I say?

Probably because you post this in a public forum where everyone can read it and respond. I apologize if it rubs you the wrong way but I like to have project cars. I have about 10 favorite cars that I would like to own and work on. And even then l may sell them to get another and another and another.

You cant claim to be innocent either. You get pissed when folks make reference to a "stabbing a dizzy" or putting in a "trans". Maybe i will keep my unwanted opinion to myself when you are making a comment
I thought being able to disagree with you or anyone in here is another reason that makes this hobby soo great. I'm not a die hard Ford fan. I can't until I get my hands on a 69 Camaro or a 69 chevelle. Even then I welcome your criticism of how I'm doing it wrong or I have too many irons in the fire and they'll never be done.

Sht Blue, mike's just pissing and moaning. Don't you get him yet?

This is an '83 T-Top coupe for god's sake. When will I ever have a chance to find one again?

Mike's cool, his name says a lot. @madmike1157 . get it? He's a good fella, just being crotchety. He's old after all!

I know and get it. I take what he says with a grain of salt but I'm still going to say when I disagree with him. saying I'm offended is a strong wording as that doesn't offend me. everyone is entitled to their opinion and I'm just expressing mine.

Lmao. It just happened to be what I was drinking at the moment...I'm not going to bore everyone with my health problems. But in all seriousness it is the main reason the car is going up for sale. That and I just can't justify spending the money any more. If the kids were really into the car I'd keep it as is and let them "improve" it later.

You should store it man. Don't spend money on it other than to keep it pickled and swap tank gas once a year.

I like the idea of the V8 sound, but V8s factory were weak in 82/83. My vote the semi period correct TurboCoupe donor sitting behind it. In 83 the thunderchickens were alive and well with a turbo 4 banger....so technically period correct. Btw if that things a 87/88 it had the factory rated 225 hp.

or
Find a wrecked ecoboost V6 out of a SHO or F150

I briefly had a 2.3t, I was underwhelmed. With some work they could produce, but you're missing that off idle punch the v8 had and they are prone to spitting head gaskets. They aren't horrible but they aren't really all that great either.

Yeah... nothing saying the V8 has to be period correct. HCI, LTs, keep the carb. NA street beast that makes good low and mid-range.

I don't see a resto-mod being worth it but some of the original decals and queues would be sweet.

Also... Sitting right behind the 82 GT and for those that haven't looked it up yet.... is an 82 Mustang Enduro complete with body kits made from unobtanium mixed with McLaren parts also made from unobtanium.

I like the red car Noobz (except for the bumper) the blue car makes me feel rather sick, in fact, I need to go, I have to puke!

I do love the hood on the '82.

You could always go with the slightly cleaner Saleen valance:

Similar but doesn't retain the signature Marchal fogs.

Begin rant:

Honestly though.... Who TF puts a Saleen sticker on a Saleen?

Let's just write "CAR" on the side. I hate those things.

Do you mean "car sticker" --or-- "Car" sticker?

I think I want to put one on mine that just says, "Car" or "Automobile".... Hmmmm.... That might mess with the other window top banner that I want to install that says, "!EVIRD dna PU GNAH"
