Front lower control arms are different...they push the bottom of the wheel out `1/2".. they will look like this /--\. Also, they are not rebuildable to my knowledge. The mustang handbook gives the geometric data.

I believe the SVO rear is quite a bit wider than your 90 rear. The SVO used wheels with a special goofy offset. A better choice would probably be a turbo-coupe rear. They are 8.8 and come with either 3.55 or 3.73 gears depending if it was an auto or 5-speed. They are still wider but I dont believe they are as wide as the SVO rear.

It will go in...it is not an 8.8. It is 7.5 with probably 3.45 gears and it is about 2 or 3 inches wider than your original rear. Hope that helps.

the later car did get a 8.8, the gt quad shock suspension came from the svo the control arms r from a lincoln con and r readily obtainable from the local junkyard 84 i think had 3.45:1 gears like stated above but very early cars dont have the quad shock setup so that would have to be welded on i have a 86 ford motorsport catalog her and it sells a quad shock kit part # m-4263-a might be discontinued though, and the later cars had 3.73:1
1.25 inches wider each side for a total of 2.5 inches go to mustangsvo.org and u can find more info and i belive a webring

Is there an easy way to tell if it's an 8.8? Part number, different look, etc. The seller says the gears are 3.73.

Thanks

http://www.svoca.com/mainframe.html Go to "SVO Fact Sheet" on the side menu. This is the SVO club of America and they say all SVO's had 7.5's. BTW I know for sure my buddies 84 SVO is a 7.5 with slapper bars.
