I am struggling with the underhood, it is a mess. The pictures make it look better than it is.
Got the BBK headers mocked up and and looks like no steering shaft interference so that is good. I found some surface rust under the battery box, no surprise there so I did a quick wire wheel and rust reformer.

Who can tell me what the semi shiny metal boxes on each side?

The box on the driver side should be the ignition control module (duraspark), the one on the passenger side should be the voltage regulator.

I think those were 84-85 only.

I had a set off an '84 that I sandblasted and tossed on eBay. Had a bidding war on them.

brittle wiring fix, ugh. I cut off this plug shrink wrapped each wire then covered with a loom.
The wiring is all there still it is just the casing of the wires are so brittle they crumble when you touch them

I had a friend who literally for no reason tore out everything related to the ac (working ac) on his 92 GT. I asked him wtf was he doing. He told me it didn't need ac because it was a "race car." This puzzled me as we have no race track on this island. He then needed to sell the car a few months later. Every inquiry started with "does the ac work? No? Click....." I drive my convertible with the top down and ac on...........

My first car ever with working ac was my 2003 GT I bought new when I was ~24. Ever since then, when windows are down I still have a/c on.

My Fox will have a/c shortly...after I yank the motor out

SO I am considering doing something fairly dumb. USAA just mailed me an offer I may not be able to pass up, 0% APR for 18 months....

FREE MONEY!

I really want to buy a topend kit and pay it off over EASY MONTHLY PAYMENTS!
