Does anyone have one out of a car and can measure from the top of the shaft where the rotor mounts to the bottom where the oil pump shaft goes? Curious if they are the same as a 94/95 unit. I have a 94/95 minus the cap, rotor and gear and I also have one from 87-93 car that is missing the shaft, electronics, and gear. If the 94/95 is the same length then I am going to start piecing a spare distributor together as I have the hall effect sensor and TFI modules new in boxes as well as a good used steel gear.

Anyhow, not in a rush but if someone has one out and can measure it that would be much appreciated.

Im surprised no one has answered you yet. I figured this info would be readily available. Do you need the exact measurements? Or just confirmation it would work?

Thread 'Fox Vs Sn95 Distributor'

Aug 19, 2013
I am putting a 306 that was in a fox in my '95 GT. I have to switch the distributors. They each fit in both blocks but are there any differences I need to be aware of? ie. gears, etc.

Thread '94-95/86-93 distributors'

Jun 21, 2007
i put an sn-95 style engine in my 90 notch. i was going to use the sn-wiring harness/computer, but i found and bought a 90 harness. the problem is, i still have that sn-95 distributor with the different plug on it. is there any way i can cut/splice the wires, or am i going to have to spend even more money? if so, can somone tell me which wires to splice together? thanks.

Appreciate the links but I know the complete distributors will interchange. What I am wanting to do is use the shaft from the 94/95 distributor in a 87-93 housing.
