I have the chance to pick up a 1987 LX for $1500.00.
I did a car fax on it and it came up as a 87 GT for some reason.
The person selling it thinks that it may have been a 4 cylinder converted to a 5.0.
I looked under the rear to see if it was a 7.5 or 8.8.
A friend of mine at the garage told me that the 7.5 has 1 bolt at the bottom in the center and the 8.8 has 2 side by side at the bottom.
This car had the one at the bottom.
I have a heavy duty cover on my 93 gt and there is 1 bolt center and 2 off to the side.
Could someone please tell me how to tell what rear is in this LX?!!
