So I went out to start my car the other day and I quickly figured out that I needed a new ignition lock cylinder but while replacing that I noticed the ignition switch was also broken. I got done replacing both things and went to start my car and now I have no power at all when turning the key. The fuel pump isn’t turning on nothing on the dash is turning on and won’t crank at all. I can get it to crank off of the starter solenoid though and I replaced the ignition switch for a second time and still nothing. So I need some help I’m lost to what it could be.

Notice the fuse link that feeds the ignition switch and fuse panel...

While you are working on the switch, check the wiring and connector closely. Bad connections, burned or loose connections are common when the ignition switch fails. A replacement connector with new wiring pigtails is available from most auto parts stores

AutoZone and Advanced Auto Parts have the same Part Number: 434 - may have to order, not always in stock

Advanced Auto Parts alternate part number: PT5534
