1990 GT lifters

OK just torn down the engine for a top end kit, noticed it had a mild cam and new lifters in it. Great !!! but i never kept the lifters in correct bore order, they seem in perfect condition can i reuse them with no issues?? ie put back in any lifter bore??? thanks

Simply put, No. The break in period for a cam is VERY short and i assume you are well past the break in period. I wouldnt recommend it

Its not like its a flat tappet cam. And roller cams dont even require a break in procedure. You can reuse the lifters. Iv done it, and many, many others have done it also.

sorry, i actually agree with you. Just got finished with my friends 350 Chevy rebuild (had to get a new cam due the the mentioned issue) so my mind was in a different place. My bad.

I've tossed them in any hole before too

The oil hole orientation isn't important either. Pointing up, or down the lifters still pump up with oil and work as intended.

his current CT doesnt work, so maybe its time for a new one
