tuff one to answer, since this is mostly by feel. the main thing is you want have play in the pedal, reach down with your hand and the pedal should move freew/o effort about 1-2" even bounce if you let it. the pedal should get hard right around the hight of the brake pedal has you push down on it. start the car and let the clutch up, if it lets out near the top pretty much at the brake pedal hieght that's no good and chances are the clutch is bad or cable is out of adjustment. it may feel to high to you but not to me or others remember it's not going to give off the floor (it's hard to describe).
It should give about 1/2 to 3/4 off the floor. you don'y want it grabbing of the floor (adjusted to loose) or way up high (adjutsed to tight) if you have a adjustable cable and it's adjust right meaning your clutch still wont operate correctally the clutch is probally bad.
also search on hear for clutch quadrants, fire wall adjusters and for the most on here will tell you to use a oem cable most other brands are crappy and strech really bad. I run a maximim motorsports quadrant, fwa and oem cable and love it.
