In other news......Looks like Mangini is coming to Cleveland Hopefully he can do the same as he did when he went to the jets and turned a 4-12 team to a 10-6 team in his first season there.

Its not just brady the patriots lost a lot of guys on defense as well and still came out 11-5 only 2 games short of the best record of the season. Unfortunately b/c of how things stacked up it did not allow them into the post season.

I have no bad feelings of them going 11-5, Im quite proud of them actually.

And you should be. It's very odd when an 11-5 team doesn't make the playoffs. Actually, it just seems "wrong" considering 9-7 teams make it in sometimes.

Hey, you have to root for my Giants to crush the Eagles on Sunday.

I say loosing Brady pretty much killed the Pats chance at a great year. their D was not that good last few years in the sense that when your offence ios that good and makes other teams go right to passing mode by being down so far so fast it makes it easy to sit back in pass coverage and wait for the ball. But when the O isn't putting up 40 a game you gotta play a more complete game.

With that said you still got Welker and Moss. If you have a half decent QB you should do well with those guys catching the ball. But the D let teams have extended drives and plent of TOP. The D has been aging there for a few years and shame on the Pats for not having some depth on that side of the ball

First i want to say I agree with you 100 percent on your post.. THEY need to do something about this defense it's getting really long in the tooth in some areas now.. ..

Line is fine but we need more young LB's and some corners

BTW I was thinking about this after my spygate rant the other day... why are we talking about the pats? The off season is the time to talk about eliminated teams.

Well the reason we are talking about the Pats is cause it was a big story in the NFL this year.

Personally I'm getting tired of hearing about the Cowboys. Everyone is acting like this team, every year is a SB contender, and what have they proven to be called that. In the last 5 years or so temas like NE, Pittsburgh, Philli, Indy, and maybe a few others only have the right to be claimed as such. Why? Cause they have been right in it almost every year for the past 7 or 8 years give or take.

Dallas has a QB that can't win late in the year or play well in cold weather. A wideout who is a cancer no matter where he goes, and an owner who loves the spotlight and insists on hiring talent and nothing else. What does all of the teams mentioned above have in common? Teams with talent and charactor.

But for some reasons new stations insist on talking about these guys.

..................................................................................................................

And the Browns have gone from one failed NE cord. to another. Mangini shouldn't get that bad of a rap cause he did have the Brett Favre saga to deal with. But he had a team with talent that didn't make it and there were players who were outspoken saying he pretty much had favorites and that bothered them.
ANd once again Brett said he needs "several weeks" to decide on what to do. Why would you continue to hold your team hostage year after year and not allowing them to get another QB while they are available? It's kinda like, "You didn't get anyone else? Well, I'll come back to be your QB." He's getting to be a gloryhound like Roger Clemons is. Kutos to Green Bay for saying enough is enough we're moving on.

I HATE the Cowboys. It's GREAT they missed the post season. They haven't won a playoff game since 1997. Better still? They may keep Wade Phillips as head coach again next year!

I think its great that the cowboys keep under achieving. I hate Jerry Jones and wade Phillips is a horrible coach. The expectations bar for the cowboys is set very high every year and they never come close, they cant even with a playoff game with ESPN's love child Tony Romo

That Raven game was a crazy defensive game.. Carolina did make that first score look like a cake walk. I thought Arizona was about to do the same but Warner was leveled!
