I have a 91 with the 2.3. I am putting aftermarket gauges in it. the only fuel gauge I can find is a 73ohm empty and 10ohm full gauges. I read that 87 and newer mustangs have a sending unit resistance of 22ohms empty and 145 full. is it possible to buy a sending unit for a 83-86 mustang with the 73 empty and 10 full ohms sender and it fit right in so I could the gauge? or did the tanks sizes change?
