So I just bought the car yesterday and I am in love. It's low on power compard to the highly modified GT I had a year ago. But I am also likeing it's quiet "street sleeper" effect. Been doing some research online, and it's apparent that the 5.0 was only an option on this car, and apparently not a popular one. I can't find any sites that list it in there options. So, how much power did these things stock with, anyone know? The exhaust system is highly restricted I've noticed, with the manifolds being pinched at the outlets from the factory. It has dual tips, but without looking under car yet, I am assuming that it's just a split off a single y-pipe. Any info would be helpful. I tried to take pics but my camera sucks sooo bad it doesn't do her justice.

Yes it has a y pipe. I had an 88 and I got an H off of a mustang and it sounded pretty good.

You might be able to hook up on the supercoupe forums for help with everything else (minus the 5.0L)

I don't think I'm gonna be toying with this one too much. I've got an 87 fox body that my wiring system died in, I'm considering a 3.8l super charged swap into that one (up from 2.3). I'm mainly just curious to know what hp rating this girl had from factory. The kid that owned it for a short time did some stupid crap too it (including ATTEMPTING to make a decent cai) and actually gutted the MAF, and installed it in a turn pipe with a sensor bud for it. Expensive air intake part, and he used the stock maf. So yeah, the check engine light is on and I'm guessing that's why. I hear that the maf doesn't work properly like that. I'm probably gonna convert that crap back to stock.
