1992 LX Conv side view mirror removal

I've removed the 2 nuts which hold the mirror to the door.

The problem is that I can't reach the electrical plug which provides power to the electonically controlled mirror.

I've tried to pull it up... but I still can't reach the plug.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't done the convertible mirrors, but here is what I did for my hatchback. If you have enough wires hanging out you can splice in a quick disconnect plug so that removal is easier later. Plus you won't have to take off the door panel to get to the plug.

You can find 3 wire plugs sometimes or you can use the two and then just use a regular solderless connector for the third wire. Hope this helps some.
