At this point, most of us have first hand experience with trying to figure out what the heck the last owner did to their Mustang. If I can not help you fix it, at least I can help keep you from pushing a Cobra off a cliff! (A rusted out 4cyl/auto, that I would let you push off if you really needed to.)

So your fuel pressure was only 10 psi? Had you changed the fuel filter recently? Was that PSI with or without the regulator vac line hooked up? (Either way, that is almost low enough for a carb!) If the filter was already changed, I would also replace the regulator, especially if it still looks stock. You need it to be reliable with NO2.

1. We are not all the Bard or Stephen King, so this is good advice.

2. Even if the fuel pump seems to fix it, there may be other bugs your car is just "dying" to tell you about. I was shocked the first time I downloaded the codes, and I thought it was running well. I picked up some good power and a lot of drive ability after chasing down the code tripping items and resetting the idle. Please check and post the codes.

Huh? sir your posts are very hard to read/understand. Please try to post a semi-intelligible sentence. Really not trying to bash you but man it's hard to follow your responses. You need to post the codes. Pics/video would help also.

The car will not run . It will not start at all . No codes at all and only 10 psi at the fuel rail . And I just change the intake gaskets from felpro cobra gaskets . And replace all the vacuum lines . The car was siting so it's likely a bad fuel pump . I hear it going on . So I just bought a new auto meter fuel psi gauge to be sure . And both gauges read 10 psi . . I been trid to up load pix . I can't get them on hear . After I install the new pump I will see what's up from there .

Thanks for your help

I had a another market one on it . But bought a new BBK about two weeks ago no codes . Before the problem with the car started my gauge read 45 psi and would jump up to 50 when I would hit the gas

well the pump could've died but the pressure rising as it reaches 0 in vac that's normal im sure you know , that' pressure is high i believe it should be 38 or so on an NA. car vac hose off . blower car I know is 42 psi but that doesn't apply here

Correct me if i'm wrong, but if you only cycle the key and don't start the car, the FP never really gets to where it should be. It usually blips up to when the FP kicks on and then settles at a much lower number, like 10psi.

I'm not sure if i would be convinced enough to swap up the fuel pump just yet. If that was the cause, i would venture to bet there are a couple leak codes stored in the computer. If i saw a few codes suggesting lean, then i might be a bit more confortable changing out the pump....after checking the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator first.

I know i sound like a broken record, but i still recommend checking the codes.

The cobra lives again . It was the line on the fuel on the pump in the tank . It was cracked .
