The last few months I've been real frustrated with my car and I've been thinking about finding a lower mileage cobra or a terminator. I'm just sick of always having issues car not starting etc... Not to mention by my figures with paint and the rest of parts it will cost me about 15 k to be done.... For now.

Standing in a local deli I over heard a guy talking about selling a Cobra. Turns out he has a 100% stock canyon red black cloth interior with 3,600 miles on. The car is perfect sitting in his climate controlled garage. I was drueling and didn't want to leave it, the car still smells new. He wants 25 k for this car and says he is a little negotiable , now I know value is really what some one is willing to pay but I was just curious of everyone's opinion. My dream in high school was to buy this car new and this is a great opportunity to fulfill that. I'm close to offering him 22k just wondering if I'm being to emotional.

Now just throwing it out there if I do buy the car I'm selling my notch and a brand new still in the box with receipts polished inter cooled pro charger 1-dsc with aero motive pump, filter regulators etc. I'll cut a sweet deal PM me

I love Foxes and the Cobra is one I have never had. Would you be driving this car or strictly toy mode?

Either way it would not be the car for me, 22k is too much to have sit in the garage and at the same time 22k would be a hell of a lot more toy.

But that is just my opinion

I plan on using the car won't be a daily driver but if hope to get 6 o r 8k mikes a year. I'm less concerned about resale I would just want to enjoy it.

22k is dependent on your income. For me, that's half my salary for a toy to sit in a garage. I only average about 3k a year on my fox. I would love to own one, but I accept that I never will in the financial confines of my peofession.

I look at 93 Cobras in two ways and either way I will never be buying one.
1. It's now a collector car. It should be driven and shown but not modified because of its unique and rare original parts. Because of this prices should go up, I would pay 22k for it if I was a collector, but I am not and never will be.

2. It's just gt40 headed Fox. There is no way in hell I would pay over 10k for a car that I will have dump more money into to get it to where I want.

I would rather spend the money on making the notch bullet proof. For me perfecr bullet proof notch>stock cobra

@toolow you could be right about the color code, I always thought it was canyon red.

The only issue and reason I'm hesitating is I have 3 years into my notch and I'm very close to having the notch I wanted. Plus it's the first thing in my life that I put the time in to build.

I would buy it only as a weekend toy, show car. You can get Cobra's all day long for 6-10k . For $22k you can get a cherry terminator or even a coyote mustang.

A 3600 mile vibrant red cobra with black cloth is a fairly rare car, http://www.1993cobra.com/data.htm show 362 built. This would be what I would consider an investment grade fox, if the guys not full of . Remember you can always come up on your price so start lower. Before I plunked down that kind of money I'd want it on a lift and give it a thorough going over, at that mileage and price point I'd expect to be spotless underneath and flawless inside and out. There are several toy cars that can be had in that price range but putting miles on this car you might as well use that money to buy a new one, you should be able to buy a driver 93 cobra for half of that.

a driver should be a 12K and under car, I'm with the other guys this is not a car for that, its a waste of money to buy a 25k car and make it into a 13-15k car in a year or two. Everything is still 22 years old almost and things will go so your just devaluing the car. If this car exists the owner knows what he has and likely won't come down in price, mainly because he doesn't have to. Go buy a nice cobra with 40-100k on it and enjoy. If I had the money I would rather daily drive an 03 cobra, but thats just me.

I think you'd be doing a major disservice to rare low mileage collector cars if you were to buy this and then put a bunch of miles on it. Just get one that's clean and is a driver. These cars were never great "stock" anyway. This Cobra should be left to the collectors , not the drivers that are prone to getting the mod' bug.

I passed on the car, I can't bring my self to selling the notch. I feel like I have to finish it, I also know I would drive and mid the car defeating the purpose as stated above.
