--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just recently bought a 1993 mustang.
The previous owner put in a cobra upper and lower intake manifold which eliminates the EGR plate. They caped off the coolant line with a rubber plug which use to go to the egr plate. The plug dried up and anti-freeze spayed every were.
Is there any other way of plugging it up because It going
to happen again due to pressure and heat. I know I can also weld it shut. Someone told me instaead off plugging it up,I can run the coolant line to the lower intake. Does anyone have any Ideas? I'm a rooky and would appreciate any feed back.
Thanks

I wouldn't plug it up.... for the same reason you are having problems, too much pressure. Just attach a piece of copper tubing to both ends of the rubber hose and put small clamps on. Thats what I have done on my current LX and a previous GT I owned. Never had a problem with it. Just make sure the tubing fits in the hose tightly. Or..... you could just buy a longer piece of the same size rubber hose and run it from one side of metal tube to other side. Whatever works best for you.

I appreciate your help, But Im slight confused. You stated to attach a piece of copper tubing to both ends of the rubber hose. I know were one end of the hose is which is where it’s leaking from. Where is the other end located? Thanks again

Take a 1 1/2" piece of hose that fits the nipple. Put a bolt that fits tightly in one end. Cinch it down with a hose clamp. Install this on the nipple and clamp. End of story.
