Anyone know what they call the Black plastic trim on the bottom of the door window opening? If the window was down ,you would rest your arm on it. mine is cracked,I want to replace it. Thanks.

Quick question about this. How do you go about removing that piece? I'd like to repaint mine but I don't want to break it trying to get it off.

screw on the top underside of the back of the door, unscrew and slide trim back about an inch, should lift off.

It dont make much sense unless your looking at the door. Sometimes that screw will be missing but the hole should still be there.

So a screw, then it slides forward. Simple enough. I just didn't want to go ripping it off and end up breaking it.

How the hell did you do that? You remove the screw, slide it back an inch and it pretty much falls off.

The title and what the OP are asking about are different things. I thought that they were asking about the trim around the windshield from the title but they are asking about the belt trim that runs under the side windows. If you were removing the trim at the bottom of the windshield on either side of the cowl then it would be real easy to scratch the paint (and break the tabs on the trim) unless you were using these http://s.shld.net/is/image/Sears/sp...n=1&qlt=90,0&resMode=sharp&op_usm=0.9,0.5,0,0

I bought mine off the tool truck and got bent on them, sears or Harbor Freight will have them cheep enough, buy the right tool and save the headache.
