Car is sputtering bad. Replaced idle motor on throttle body, fuel filter, fuel pump. Ran a fuel pressure gauge and it’s on the low end of the tolerance. Fixed a vacuum leak as well. Really not sure where to go from here. No engine knock or consistency with the idle. Just having a hard time maintaining proper RPMs. I have hooked up a scanner that was practically useless.

Have you tried to pulled any codes from the computer? How does the car feel when you are accelerating/off idle?

Zero codes that helped my issue. Car sputters a lot. Idle and accelerating.

I would check your MAF next then, though I'm surprised you wouldn't have a code for that. Did you get any codes off the computer?

I got 111 and 212 from the code reader.

So code 111 is system pass.

Code 212 is "Ignition TACH signal was erratic (module/wiring) or SPOUT circuit fault – Ignition Systems". That code alone will not cause drivability issues, but could indicate an issue with the TFI module/ignition system. I'd have the TFI module tested and then start looking at the ignition system (PIP sensor in distributor is notorious for failing) if that tests fine.

Go back to the fuel pressure problem, one thing at a time, if you replaced the fuel pump/filter and the pressure is still low check the fuel pump regulator, smell fuel in the fpr vacuum line?
