I have recently been looking at some 1995 Cobras and have become very interested. I was wondering if anybody could give me any info on reliability, etc. Also price range for a well taken care of, semi-high mileage Cobra. Thanks.

Dad has a '99 Cobra and I'm hoping to join the SVT family.

When I bought my 1995 Cobra I was really impressed with how well it ran considering its age. I knew it had been beat up on but it still was a solid performer. The only issues you may run into (depending on care by previous owner) will be with the brakes and the suspension. After 12 years things will most likely be worn down (brake caliper brackets, shocks/struts); especially if it's a somewhat high mileage car. You may want to check all the seals too. And to be honest, the only time something needed "fixed" was when I decided it was time to upgrade that specific part. Loads of possibilities with it, so find one and have fun with it man.

When I was looking for mine, I found that KBB was too low by a couple of grand compared to what was out there. I bought my 95 Cobra about 15 months ago for $7000 at 150K. I have put 12K on since then and it still runs like a champ. Bone stock drivetrain puts 220 to the ground. They seem to be running a little cheaper now, but not where KBB says they are. That really sucks because I just picked up a 96 Mystic and am getting rid of the 95 ( not my decision )

I just bought a 95 Cobra with 87K miles...runs awesome still stock - hard to believe -

Paid $7,750 3 owner car...I love it..

I do suggest you look close for door alignment -this will tell you if the car is bent from racing.

Otherwise check it like any other used car...and enjoy it.

Cool thing is people say "cool you bought a mustang"...then they usually go "oh its a Cobra...awesome!"

I have you all beat, I just picked up a 95 cobra with 160k for $3500, should of just stole it for that much. Runs like a champ lots of power. Has a few body repairs to be done but had a lot of extra parts like short throw shifter, indash DVD/CD player, bbk shorty headers, O/R H-pipe with flowmaster dumps, cold air intake. Couldn't go wrong

Current time line is to have one in action/show-worthy in less than 5 years. Sooner is preferable. Stay tuned.

1 of 5. Other then the 250 95 Cobra R's they also produced 5 extra drivetrains. One has recently been for sale up in canada ( the 351 5.8 motor only) and as for the other 3 I cant speak of where they are, but one one of those 5 is sitting under the hood in my 94 Cobra down in the garage.

I say get one you'll love it! I got mine 4-5 years ago for 9k with 54k miles. Try to find one that hasn't been thrashed though, that can take some time, but its worth it.
