1995 GT...OBD 1or2 ??

Heard there was an early-late split. Is that true?? How should I prove what I have??

OBD 2 didn't start until 1996 with the EEC-V computer and the 4.6. We have the EEC-IV with our 5.0's and they are only OBD 1.

Above is correct. You'll see the OBD-II port in your interior but it's not functional.

The split is that the 94+ V6's had OBD-II (which is why our cars have both connectors).

Thanks for clearing that up. I have found the OBD2 in the interior but where is the functional OBD 1 connector located??

Well I guess I am blind. The only port I see is the ABS port with a red cover on the drivers side tower by the battery junction box. There is nothing that resembles a port on the passenger side of the engine bay. Any more hints please??

There are two connectors plugged into a cover and the cover is clipped to the back of the strut tower. You can either pull the connectors down out of the cover or pull the cover off of the tower and the remove the cover from the connectors.
