there is a bone stock maroon 94-95 model GT 5spd and 17 inch wheels in my area with 127K miles on it but clean car for $4300 , is that a good deal ??

I do hope you are kidding. You could have got a cobra for that amount.

Forget both get a FOX Coupe 4cyl for next to nothing a drop a 331 or big block in. Pass on the 94/95 body. If you want it fast, start off lite.

If you're most interested in speed, not necessarily reliability, go with the 5.0. I feel that the 4.6 is a superior engine in terms of longevity, but it is more expensive to modify and suffers from a breathing problem. Since you will be purchasing an older car, keep in mind the 5.0 will probably have a few reliability issues, since it will be both older and have an engine that may not last past 150k miles. If I had to do it again though, I would probably get the 5.0 over my 96GT.

Yea a 4.6 will out last a 5.0.

I hope that guys wasn't seriously about his 96 GT smoking cobras.
