1997 16" GT Rims; Tires?

I am going to have to purchase new tires this spring sometime, and I was wondering (yes I know theres a lot of these threads...) what would be the best tire for both wet and dry weather (but also for decent hook up ).

I have 16" pony rims from a 1997. Whats the widest tire I could put on this? I currently have 245/50s

Yokohama AVS ES100 or Kumho Ecsta ASX
should work fine for you.

Thanks for the brands.

I currently have yokohamas...but I got them used.

They dont grip particularly well, but I cant really tell how worn they are because i dont know what they look like new .

They are usable in the rain, though.

If Yokohama sells 255/50/16 then I'll probably go with that. Otherwise i'll stick with 245s.

i have pirelli zero neros 245/50s and i love em. they are great in rain and after a short burnout, they hook as good as my old goodyear f1s at the track. and cost a lot less than f1s
