Hey everyone. First post here. Glad to be a part of the community!!!! So I have a 1997 Cobra. It is procharged. Recently it’s been giving me problems when I down shift from 3rd to 2nd. RPMS will fall fast and the car will almost stall or completely stall. All other gears seem fine downshifting. Also it has stalled sitting in my driveway when I bring the RPMS up to about 2000 then let off the gas. Not sure where to start looking so any all all help will be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks

It [sounds] like a dirty Idle Air Control (IAC) valve.

Have you pulled EEC codes?
Hey Noobz, the car doesn’t have any codes showing right now. I’m going to check the IAC valve this morning, would you happen to know of any way to test it off the car? To make sure it is functioning properly? I’ve seen some info about foxbody 5.0, to check the valve on those motors but not much about the 4.6. Thank you!!

When you say "the car doesn't have any codes showing right now" does that mean you checked it with an OBDII scanner or there is no check engine light?
