I just gutted 3 of my cat converters due to them all being stopped up..what do I expect when the car has 100,000 miles on it. :nonono: anyways...now that they have been gutted and i can drive the car now. I was without a car for a week. So what do yall suggest? Catted h/x pipes. I sthere a difference between h and x? WHat will it do for my car? I know its not legal. What would it make it sound like if I put it on my car with the stock mufflers...been to lazy to buy the borla system from a guy I know...although now id rather not do it at this time anyways due to the cat problem but anyway. So some input....what do I need? I hear stuff about MIL elminators though have no clue what they are. Whats the difference in a catted h pipe and a stock cat system....please inform me since I am dumb when it comes to exhaust...

by the way guys incase you are wondering if you take your stang to a ford dealer and tell them to fix your cat problem like me....its gonna cost you $2200 to do it.... :bs: Someone should shoot ford for putting 6 cat converters on one car....and making them all 1 piece..... :flame:

Buy the Borla, and install a catted X pipe with it. I have Magnaflow Magnapacks with an X pipe and it's loud! I love it...it added 24hp by opening it up and removing the sucky factory exhaust.

24 hp sound a tad bit high to me. I've got a friend with a pretty well modded 98 Cobra and he only got 12 hp from switching stock to magnapacks. IDK maybe it does it just sounds like :bs: to me.

As far as for difference between H and X. H-pipe will give you a more deep grumble like muscle car sound and it will increase your low end torque alot. X-pipe will give you a higher raspy nascar like sound it will increase your top end. I have an O/R H-pipe and some people say with that you will lose top end power. Thats the most :bs: I've heard. I gained alot of low end torque and I gained a little top end also. So basically H-pipe for muscle car low end torque, X-pipe for raspy nascar high end horsepower. I have flowmaster catback and MAC O/R H-pipe and it sounds fu.cking mean. Magnapacks will you give you a really loud sound it will be higher but it will be louder. Buy the Borla if you can those are amazing. They outperform magnaflow/magnapacks and flowmaster and they sound better than both, Borla is the best in my book. If you are gonna run an O/R pipe you will need MIL eliminators. They trick your computer into thinking that you still have the cats on there. If you dont buy it and your check engine light comes on your car will run like ****, because the computer will try to adjust to make up for the cats missing and dump tons of extra gas so your car will run horrible and your mpg will go down the drain. Difference between a catted pipe and stock pipe is that Hi-Flow catted pipes come with 2 cats the stock pipes either come with 4 or 6 cats.
