Have another post in here regarding fused blowing often on cig lighter powerpoint under dash. While my radio/cassette and CD were out, mechanic drove it around and heard a sound about midway behind the radio opening in the dash when the circuit blew again. Noticed today my fog lights have gone out also (aftermarket) - fuse has not blown again yet. When looking behind dash midway, I see a grey metal cylinder type thing, next to a white plastic thing that has a vent, possibly a chime. It is not the door chime, which is by the drivers foot. What are these two things? I have some say it may be a radio system capacitor, when I research all I see is the little one under the hood, this is much larger.

It's probably [not] a Flux Capacitor.

Maybe some pics?

That looks like one of the HVAC door actuators.

The trouble is that when I look up blend and defrost door actuators for a 1999, it doesn't look anything like the one in your images.

This is for another model Ford. Looks like yours but I cannot find a listing for a 99 that looks like this:
Robot or human?

Hopefully somebody will be along soon that is more familiar with your year.

That is what I have ran into - no parts I have found online looks like this, nor in my Mustang books. I bought the fairly expensive 1999 Ford Mustang workshop manuals, about in that area, if I am reading right - blend door, vacuum, vacuum valve -

Are you able to make out any part numbers on the thing? I can't make out the numbers and letters in the image.

If you find some... We can Google-Fu.

Also... This is not the first time I've come up against finding tech info on these years... Weird.

We'll help you dig tho. Somebody around here is an expert on this already so, Whoever you are... let's goooooooo.
