I got an 88 gt with trickle flow heat upper and lower intake, e303 cam, gt40 heads, under drive pulleys. Just wondering which one would be best for my setup? I have stock 19 lb right now.

You should be good with the 19's but wouldn't hurt to move up to 24's with matching calibrated MAF meter. 30# would be too much IMO for your combo.

jrichker get the credit for this info below. HP numbers are at flyweel.

Example:
19/.5 = 38, 38 x 8 = 304 HP
24/.5 = 48, 48 x 8 = 384 HP
30/.5 = 60, 60 x 8 = 480 HP

The preferred duty cycle is about 85% maximum, so for a safety factor multiply the final figure times .85.

19/.5 = 38, 38 x 8 = 304 HP x .85 = 258 HP
24/.5 = 48, 48 x 8 = 384 HP x .85 = 326 HP
30/.5 = 60, 60 x 8 = 480 HP x .85 = 408 HP

Remember that the above ratings are at 39 PSI.

There is no way/reason that I can see why injectors need to be upgraded until a set of heads and cam at minimum.

If you're sticking with the current combo, stick with the current injectors. You'll gain nothing by increasing them in size.

I would be more concerned about the fuel pump at this point in the case that you need to elevate pressure a little bit.

I think threads like these begin under false a false assumption sometimes. The assumption is that larger fuel injectors are going to some way improve the performance of some engine combination.

Unless your current fuel system is not able to support your engine combo then there's no benefit to larger injectors.

If you're planning larger injectors in anticipation of an engine up-grade then you need to try and determine the (as accurately as possible) what the real world power output range will be so that you can MATCH injectors to that fuel requirement.

So naturally, my first question is usually something like, "What are you doing that makes it necessary to install larger injectors"? Particularly since your 19s are capable of supporting your present combo. Are you running lean? If so, how did you confirm this condition?

The previous owner said they were 24 lb injectors but when I checked them out later found out they are 19 lb. Just wanted to see if 19 lb would be ok for my setup and I guess they are, I'm not running lean either. Thanks guys.
