I just finished installing a new clutch. Before starting up the car, I re-reviewed all the write ups I had to see if I missed anything. I did. The Ford racing clutch kit included a throw out bearing, which I installed as is. I coated the tyranny input shaft, where the TOB rides, with a light coat of grease. However, I did not clean off the inside of the TOB. One of the write ups mentions to not forget to clean any residual grease off the inside of the TOB. Is it really a problem, or should I remove the tranny and clean up things? My thought is that it's not really going to be a problem, but would like to hear from experience.
