1v 3G alternator pully help

i'm in the middle of getting my 3g placed into the 68, but now I have pulley problems. the V pulley from my stock alt. doesn't have enough clearance on the 3G. I have pics but Photobucket is being a #$%^& right now. Anyone encounter this problem and where did you find a V1V pulley to work on the 3G?

thanks for the help.

Ahh, Mr. Scrut, we meet again....
I see you got the pulley off (apparently without an impact wrench!).
Your answer is the same place you got your fused alt wiring...RJMInjection.
They make the pulley you see here on my car.
The issue is that the stock pulley is designed to work with the longer shaft of the earlier alternator.
The pulley from RJM is very deep and will work on the short shaft of the 3G alternator.

i thought as much, glad we're on the same page. I actually just went out and bought 400 bucks worth of compressor/impact wrench/impact lugs/air hoes and QDs.

made the job very easy. thanks again for the input, I'm actually doing 2 things: alternator and control valve rebuild...so frustrating...thanks again.
