2.3 non Turbo question

Hello all, I haven't been on here in quite some time, but the time has come to talk to my fellow 2.3 owners.

Couple of questions. The rear main seal went south last weekend, so it's time to replace it. Anything I should know before pulling the motor?

Second, the muffler has got a small hole in it. No big deal, but just looking for something to replace it. I don't want anything loud and annoying...and nothing that sounds like a fart when I'm goingdown the road.

I have a 1992 LX vert with 61k on it. thanks for your help!

Make sure you have the right tools to disconnect the fuel lines and it would be a good time to replace the oil pan gasket if needed.

You can get a three chamber Flowmaster to replace your muffler. It wont be very loud but will give it a nice low tone.
