I have a 2.3 92 mustang and I wunna put a 351 from an 95 itercepter crown vic in it I have both whole cars I just wunna know what I need to make the switch and how many parts from the crwn vic I can use. i would just turbo charge it but there is no replacment for displacment and I live by that. so im gonna stick with the 351

you'll need foxbody motor mounts, headers, exhust pipes, oil pan, new pump pickup, prolly a different tranny, or atleast new shifter linkage, radiator, not sure about the water pump. Then you have to move the fuel lines in the fox body, and find a way to either swap in the entire electric system from the vic, or swap in a fox v8 wiring harness. Then you get into things like needing stiffer springs and better brakes. New sway bars will be needed, the 4cyl fuel pump prolly wont hold up. The 351 is taller too, so you might need a cowl hood. Not to mention all the little nickle and dime things that you run into when you do a motor swap.......

well **** that guy told me there was a 351 in there ive been cheated, eh I dont care its still a V8 and i got it cheap so what would I need to pu that in my car hell maybe it easyer now...lol if it wont work at all i'll just fix it up and use it as an extra car

they sell whole kits to swap the 4.6 into a fox, but that motor for that year is a dog, and the swap will require all the same parts i listed, except alot of them are custom peice (headers, motor mounts). Your best bet would be to sell both cars and just buy a v8 car if thats really what you want.

Swapping a SOHC 4.6 into a fox, especially an early SOHC, is hardly worth the effort. If you want a V8 so bad find a 302, or like willy said, just go out and buy a 5.0.

And why the hell are you asking us about V8 swaps in the first place? This has been repeated so many times now, I don't even know why I bother saying it. Sigh...
