Hello! I have a 1973 240z with a Ford 2.3 turbo. I call it the too-fordy.

- The engine has been making a rattle I'm having a hard time diagnosing. It seems to only occur around 2-3k rpm and is not present at idle. The noise completely dissipates once the turbo has spooled. I've recorded some good audio so you guys can tell me what you think. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Gain access to the hot side and check the turbine bearing for runout. If it is bad, you find coking from the leaking oil and that he turbine shaft will wiggle.

The noise sounds closer to the intake side of the motor and right under the valve cover. I thought it might have been shaft wiggle, until I heard it from outside of the car.
